Privacy Policy

Draft. This accurately describes how the product handles data today, but has not been reviewed by a lawyer and must be replaced before launch.

What we collect

Account details. Your name, email address and, optionally, a phone number. Photographers additionally provide a bio, location, portfolio images, packages and contact details.

Booking records. The date, package, price, location and notes for every request you send or receive.

Usage data. Which profiles are viewed, counted once per session per day, so photographers can see how their profile performs.

What we don't do

We do not sell your data. We do not show advertising. We do not share your contact details with anyone except the counterparty on an accepted booking.

Who can see your contact details

Your phone number and email are private by default. They become visible to one other person only when a booking between you is accepted, and to nobody else, ever.

This is enforced at the database level rather than by our application code, so a bug in the website cannot expose them.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are used. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your rights

You can see and edit everything on your profile at any time. You can delete your account, which removes your personal data. Anonymised booking records are kept because the other party in each booking relies on them.

You can request a copy of your data by emailing us.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is controlled row by row in the database. Passwords are hashed and never stored in readable form.
